Education Television

Education Television is an excellent medium for delivering educational content on a mass scale. Modern technologies such as computers and the Internet have now become the new tools of education technology, and television is regarded by some as old technology. However, the enormous potential of Education Television to reach ordinary citizens globally, where they sit, has not yet been fully realized. Our story: Situation in Indonesia

On this website we hope to provide a venue for educators in the field to discuss issues related to educational television, place their personal education resources or links on the site, and also short video-clips of actual lesson practice sessions for the benefit of other teachers in the field.

We invite participation from educators from all over the world who share an interest in the development of education television in an effort to highlight new ideas and practices. One immediate avenue for commencing discussion is our eGroup EducationTelevision (English and Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia ok!)

I filmed this for my job to show what Hess' courses are like. It's a good example of what it's like to teach here. This was totally unscripted, but the teacher and class were both wicked. They were totally responsive and confident and didn't notice the camera at all.
